Advent Health Care
Advent Health Care has been has been an important part of this community for over 70 years. It was first established in the 1950s as North York Branson Hospital, with support and sponsorship of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Branson serve the north Toronto with full service medical care and grew to be have over 400 in-patient beds. In the late 1990 there was a consolidation of of health care in Ontario and operation of the hospital was transferred to North York General Hospital. North York Branson Hospital retained ownership of the campus and transitioned to focus on seniors services and change its name to Advent Health Care.
The newest addition to the campus, Forestview Retirement Residence, received its first resident in March 2018. This 128-suite retirement home caters to both independent and assisted living and boasts elegant amenities coupled with compassionate care.
Valleyview Residence, a 174-bed long term care home was opened in 2004.
Advent Health Care and Forestview Retirement Residence are affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
